Design Planning
Initial Consultation and Proposal
The design consultation involves an on-site walk-through and meeting to analyze conditions, discuss the client’s artistic vision, set project goals, and gather necessary information for a design proposal. We prioritize sustainability and may rework the existing site.
Base Plan Preparation
After accepting our design proposal, we conduct a detailed plot plan or survey to locate property lines, buildings, trees, and other structures. For some projects, this plan also includes drainage and grading data. We make multiple site visits as necessary to ensure accuracy. This computer-generated Base Plan serves as the foundation for all subsequent drawings.
Schematic Plan
We create a Schematic Plan by combining details from the Base Plan and initial consultation. These drawings present alternative design options and gather client feedback, showcasing all potential landscape elements like paving, patios, walls, steps, plant beds, and more.
Final Master Plan
After client approval of the Schematic Plan, we refine the project’s character and quality to produce the Final Master Plan. This comprehensive document includes the specific details necessary to generate a cost estimate for project completion.
